This summer, Texas has been getting a lot of destructive storms, and even a few tornadoes. Luckily, Allen got the weaker end of most of the storms, so not too much damage was caused to homes and other buildings. However in one of Allen's greenbelts, the destruction could be seen with a multitude of trees felled by the winds. Several trees had fallen on the paths in the forest, but luckily the forest crew made short work of the trees and cut the bits covering the paths into smaller pieces to be tossed along the side of the path. Other trees were only hanging on by a couple roots and leaning precariously. As mentioned before, this was the weak end of the storm, many families outside of Allen were not so lucky and had trees fall on houses and cars. As the summer has only just begun, we can only brace for future storms.
